In 1980, the family stepped into the world of greige fabrics as traders — young, determined, and deeply aware that trust is the most important currency in textiles. Fabrics moved, relationships grew, and with every roll of cloth that left our hands, a quiet reputation began to form&we learned something simple: when you honour your word, the market honours you back.
By 1994, the natural next step was clear. Under the vision of Mr. Prem Raj Rathi, Raj Cottons Private Limited was born — not as a leap of ambition, but as an evolution of years spent listening to traders, exporters, and finishers who needed fabric that behaved well in real-world production. Greige fabric is unforgiving; it reveals the discipline of the mill behind it. So we built a culture where discipline wasn’t a demand — it was an instinct.
As the second generation joined in, new energy met old wisdom. The group expanded into yarn through Shree Swati Spintex under the leadership of Mr. Jai Raj Rathi, strengthening our foundation from fibre to fabric, allowing us to control consistency from the very first thread. Today, as a group, we operate at a scale of nearly USD 40 million annually, yet the heart of the business remains reassuringly old-school: relationships first, business next.
Our mill operates with the quiet confidence of seasoned craftsmanship and modern machinery. Airjet, Rapier, and Projectile looms sit at the centre of our production — machines known not just for speed but for stability, accuracy, and the ability to translate fine counts, heavy constructions, and complex textures into fabric that withstands dyeing, printing, finishing, and every transformation that follows.
Over the years, we’ve mastered more than 300 constructions of greige fabric — from the clean geometry of poplins and twills, to textured dobby designs, dense canvases, sustainable blends, and custom developments for home textiles and apparel brands. Every fabric begins with the same question: Where will this go next? Some of our fabrics will become furnishings in global homes, some will be dyed into rich fashion collections, others will be finished, brushed, sanforised, laminated, or printed. Traders know us for consistency. Converters trust us for predictability. Exporters choose us because when quality behaves well it saves time, money, and reputation.
